From that mark, extend a level layout line along the walls. If the floor isn't level, find the highest point in the floor along the wall where the cabinets will be installed. When you look at the four corners on a set of cabinets, they should be at the same height as each other.

Adjust the molding, as necessary, so the lower edge is equidistant from the lower edge of the cabinet face frame. This however depends greatly on the condition of the wall and if the damages are too big it might be necessary to take care of biggest holes before any further works. European-style hardware (which is pictured throughout this article) is the most common and easiest to adjust.
