What Color Hinges For White Kitchen Cabinets. My question is, I have exposed hinges that I am not a fan of. Black and white is a classic combination since the beginning of time.
My hardware will otherwise be black, so I'd rather they just not stick out that much. You can DIY oak, pine, or dark wood cabinets with some sanding, a solid primer, and a white paint with a cooler gray or blue undertone. The classic, chic look of white kitchen cabinets paired with a traditional square handled cabinet pull or an elegant luxe cabinet pull creates a homey feeling that is still refined.
But now that the cabinets are painted, I don't think I like the look of the black knobs against the white cabinets!
While most cabinets used to have brass hinges, most modern cabinets have stainless-steel or nickel hinges.
There is another, more important advantage: The hinges fit the existing holes, so you won't have to drill new holes or fill the old holes. The key is to choose a color that will go well with your cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring, all while matching your existing decor. This leaves room for a contrasting hue in the cabinet hardware.
