Should I Glaze My Kitchen Cabinets. One thing you need to consider with a glaze is that it creates an undertone that is NOT as neutral anymore as a plain white or cream colour. Painting kitchen cabinets is HUGELY satisfying.
In some cases you end up with cabinets that are quite 'beige' which dictates the paint colour even more to the point where you might need to go darker to create enough contrast. You kitchen cabinets take every thing from dirty fingers to cooking grease to messy spills. If you have an off-white or warm white in your products, then you'll want to look at warm white paint colours for your cabinets.
If you already have a small kitchen that you want to open up, you should paint your cabinets a lighter color like white or off-white.
This is often the case if the rest of the trim in the house is off-white or if the counters or flooring in the kitchen are on the warm side of the color spectrum.
I want so badly to paint them white, I used Benjamin Moore Advance Paint to paint my cabinets, have had some chipping, did all the prep, I understand !!!!!. I promise you can do it and still keep your sanity intact! I think a new floor would be a better investment, and switching some cabinet doors to glass.
